VaneTec Creates a Lifetime Bond

Chris Metzgus
VaneTec, Inc.

A precision-engineered vane is only as good as the bond that holds it. Which is why VaneTec doesn't stop at creating just the most exacting vanes in the business. They need an equally high-performing adhesive. VT-1000 Vane and Component Adhesive is an unsurpassed formula that completes the package.

VT-1000 is made with Permabond cyanoacrylate, an industrial quality, single component, rapid bonding adhesive that absorbs surface moisture and creates bonds that will last into the next millennium.

Permabond cyanoacrylate eliminates the production limitations associated with other, less efficient, adhesives. A tiny drop of VT-1000 is all that's required for vane fletching that will outlast not only the arrow, but the archer as well.

"Don't apply a single drop of VT-1000 to anything you don't want stuck together forever," says Chris Metzgus, President of VaneTec. "Vanes will cling to your arrows in tatters before they ever come unglued."

VaneTec has even engineered efficiency into the application process by developing a 20-gram soft bottle that permits total control over the flow of adhesive. Bottles are fitted with ultra-fine tip applicators to make hand fletching a precision procedure.

Fixture time with VT-1000 is between four and eight seconds, so fletching time is significantly reduced. VT-1000 is available in 20-gram bottles for manual applications and in 1-pound bottles for hand fletching refills. VaneTec's VT-65 adhesive is specifically formulated for automatic fletching machines and is available in 1-pound bottles.
